Beautiful Eyes | flathead

 



A flathead fish body is flat and wide from its dorsal fin to its mouth, which means that the beautiful eyes of the flathead fish are both facing upwards. 

Since flatheads prefer to burry themselves in the sand, having eyes on top of their heads means they can see what prey is passing overtop of them to grab.
