How Do Elephants Eat Grass

How Do Elephants Eat Grass.
Here's a wonderful herd of elephants which are eating grass. You might be wondering how do elephants eat grass, elephants are herbivores meaning that they eat mostly plants and they can consume up to 200kgs of vegetation a day. They spend about 10 to 15 hours a day just eating and the quantity of grass they consume depends on the season and the habitat. They eat more grass in the wet season and when its dry, they eat more tree bark, twigs and leaves. The elephant uses its trunk to bring food up to its mouth. It rips the grass from the ground, dusts it off, and it does that to remove the sand and the stones. Elephants have very clever eating habits.
