Baby Elephants Fighting

Elephant baby fighters in tsavo east national park, Kenya.
Two elephant herds meet on opposite ends of a road but for some reason, the two baby elephants fight. The little elephants which are from different mothers, did not seem to like each other. With a mix of play and and sometimes determination, the two elephant baby fighters push and ram one another while their mothers look on. At one stage one of the elephant mum's had to push away the other calf. These are skills baby elephants learn by watching others and someday will be used even more severely as adults.

The Colobus Monkeys Of Diani Beach

Angolan Black And White Colobus Monkey in Diani Beach Kenya A wildlife lover deciding to spend a few days at the Diani Beach coastline will be in for a special photography treat. Its one of the few places in Kenya where one can sight the Angolan Colobus Monkey at close range. They are easily identifiable by their black face, black fur and long locks of white hair that surrounds the face and also hangs off the shoulders. Being arboreal, they generally prefer to stay among the tree branches and canopy's feeding on leaves, fruits and flowers rather than foraging on the ground.
