A white eyed moray eel in Kenya |
The White Eyed Moray Eel is also sometimes referred to as the Greyface Moray Eel. They can usually be found on the sea bed aka the benthic zone, where they live in crevices between hard and soft corals during the day and come out at night to feed. Their diet consists mostly of small fish and invertebrates such as cuttlefish and octopus.
As i was drift diving along the reef, this little white eyed moray had its head protruding from its crevice with its head slowly rocking back and forth to the current. I found the colours and the angle interesting so i went ahead and clicked the photo.
