African Caracal Cat | Facts | Rare sighting

African Caracal Cat and some facts about it. Here we have an amazing sighting of a caracal, now what's really special about spotting this one out and about is that they're typically nocturnal and that's why they're so secretive and very hard to spot. So the average size of a caracal is about a meter in length and this one's a fairly young one.  Can hear all the birds are really going insane that's what they typically prey on they eat small mammals birds and also rodents and because of the caracal small size they actually do become prey themselves so the hunter in this case does become the hunted lions leopards will easily take down a caracal so they're always very shy.  Two interesting facts, you notice the tufts on the ears they are very distinct and another really interesting thing to notice is that they have the same color as lions so they have that really tawny orange color which fits well into this habitat here in tsavo.  The yellow neck spur fowls yo...

Buffalos and Jackals Share a Carcass | Rare Footage

Lions had brought down a baby elephant the evening earlier and typical of the bush, nothing will go to waste. The next morning we got to witness a very rare sight as the buffalos and jackals shared the carcass. Buffalo are not know to me omnivorous however on a very rare occasion they do lick dry bones for minerals, a term known as Osteophagia. This carcass was fresh and so the buffalos were most likely seeking sodium in the bl0od. Tension built up as the jackals didn't want to share and one buffalo chased the jackals away. A really rare and amazing moment to watch as buffalos and jackals share a carcass. A Zebra's Lucky Escape

A matter of a few inches is what gave this zebras lucky escape.  Watching the Kanderi Females for about 4 hours, an unsuspecting herd of zebra approached to where one of the lionesses was resting. As the lioness was facing the wrong direction both zebra and lion were in for a surprise once they spotted each other. A quick chase and the zebra was really lucky to escape as it was an instinct attack rather than a stalk.  If you slow down the video you will see how close it was and that the zebra had also lost its tail in the past to lions.  These are some of the wildlife we may see on a Tsavo East Safari with Wild Kenya Safaris.  To Book a Safari with Wild Kenya Safaris: Website: https://www.wildkenyasafaris.com

Lion Chasing Jackals From Her Meal

It was quite an interesting moment watching this lion chasing jackals from her meal. The little jackals were being quite brave and kept coming back after the lion chases them away. The lioness had her fill already and took it more like a instinctive game of chase.  These are some of the wildlife we may see on a Tsavo East Safari with Wild Kenya Safaris.  To Book a Safari with Wild Kenya Safaris: Website: https://www.wildkenyasafaris.com #safaris #wildkenyasafaris

Lions Marking Their Territory

Walking down the road at sunset the lions marking their territory on the leaves and bushes helps define their territory range as well as inform other members of the lion pride and rivals where they are. Lion territories are approximately 20 square kilometers or even more and are passed down through generations of females. Territory marking and roaring go hand in hand to reinforce boundaries.  These are some of the wildlife we may see on a Tsavo East Safari with Wild Kenya Safaris.  To Book a Safari with Wild Kenya Safaris: Website: https://www.wildkenyasafaris.com
